Blues with a Vengeance is the debut studio album by John Lee Hooker Jr., released on April 20, 2004. The album features twelve tracks, including covers of his father’s classics and a T-Bone Walker song. Hooker Jr.’s contemporary blues style is evident throughout the album. The album received critical acclaim and was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Traditional Blues Album category, as well as a W.C. Handy Award for Best New Artist Debut.
